5 Things I Cherish about My Baby//Motherhood

My sweetheart, Rose, is already 3.5 months old!

I always wanted to be a Mother, and now that I have my sweet Rose blossom, it is important to slow down and cherish all the little things about her.
Here are five things I love about my sweet baby.

1.The Baby Coos...
We called her “Coo-Bear” as a nickname from early on. She is so adorable when she makes her little sounds and gurgles.  Two of her frequent coos sound like “Goo” and “Hi”.

2. The Little Elf Ears...
Rose has pointed ears-just like a little fairy child!
The doctors offered to send us to a specialist who could help us mold them,
but we absolutely cherish the way she is, and want her to accept herself that way too.

3. Her Large Head...
Rose’s head is literally off the charts for her age. Her father too had a large head (and still does), and was immensely pleased to see see the graph of her head size at the doctors office. There is an arc for the 98th percentile head size in infants her age, and then there is Rose’s arc soaring high above that graphic. Superb! Large heads for the win.

4. Her Knack for “Conversing”...
I have mentioned her cooing, but have not mentioned her dispensation for visiting! She gets into these moods where she just wants to have a chat. She likes to maintain eye contact and have us respond to her “talk”. It tickles her to bits to have us carry on a conversation with her. She just starts laughing and cooing and continues on in that way. It is the cutest thing.

5. Her Chin Quiver...
This is one of those little things that I cherish, but which also rather breaks my heart. When Rose gets cold or upset, her little chin starts quivering and, well, I just start to melt.

Rose is such a blessing and my husband and I are loving being her parents. I always knew motherhood would be a blessing but wow...it is truly even better than I  imagined.

God bless,
Lexi
